WORKERS COMPENSATION INSURANCE

Workers‘ compensation  better known as workers comp is insurance that provides cash benefits and/or medical care for workers who are injured or become ill as a direct result of their job. Employers pay for this insurance, and shall not require the employee to contribute to the cost of compensation. 

Workers Comp provides medical care, death, disability, and rehabilitation benefits for workers who are injured or killed while on the job. The benefits of workers’ compensation are generally awarded on a no-fault basis. 

Small business owners may convince themselves that they don’t need the added expense of workers’ comp. They might think that an injury could never happen at their company, and even if it did, they would pay out of pocket. But worker’s compensation insurance is an absolute must for any small business.
